KUSADASI is the biggest and best known of the many holiday resorts dotted along the Aegean coast of Turkey. Its close proximity to some of the most frequently visited historical sites and tourist attractions in Turkey make it an ideal base for visitors. The antique city of Ephesus, the town of Selcuk with its strong Christian heritage, the house of the Virgin Mary, the important historical sites of Didim, Priene and Miletos and many other interesting places are all within an hours drive. The cotton castles of Pamukkale, the beautiful city of Izmir, the third largest in Turkey, and the Greek island of Samos are all within convenient day tripping distance. The ancient city of Troy and Istanbul are also within range by road.
Kusadasi boasts one of the world's deepest water ports and some of the biggest luxury cruise liners in the world are frequent visitors. It is also home to a very large luxury yacht marina where famous faces and names are always about. An afternoon or evening spent walking along the marina or visiting one of the chic cafes and bars which adorn the sea front is a very pleasant way to relax and get a taste of what Kusadasi is all about.
For those who like their nightlife raw and throbbing bar street is the place to go. However there is much more to nightlife in Kusadasi. From small local bars and cafes in the old quarter, to live music bars spread all over the resort and sophisticated night clubs Kusadasi has something to offer all tastes.
